On Sunday 18th December EABT players, coaches, parents and supporters met at The Holiday Inn in Ipswich to celebrate the Academy Players achievements over the previous twelve months. Foundation Chairman Nino Severino had a few words to say...

"This year has seen many challenges, especially with the majority of the programme moving to Ipswich Sports Club. The Academy has settled well & we have a great training base for the players to continue their development into the 2017 season and beyond, which is very exciting for all. I would like to thank Founder Patron, Judy Murray, who works tirelessly behind the scenes, we thank you for all your efforts. I would also like to welcome on board our new Patron who joined this year, Martina Navratilova. Martina is one of the biggest names in tennis and it's amazing for Elena's Academy to have such an amazing sportswoman on board. My thanks also to our EBAT Ambassadors in Anne Keothavong & Johanna Konta. Our congratulations to Anne on her appointment as GB's Federation Cup Captain, and our congratulations also to Johanna who had an amazing 2016, finishing inside the world's top 10 in the singles rankings."
